Kuala Lumpor Regia: Rev. Fr. Frederick Joseph is the new Spiritual Director.
A Filipino praesidium with 17 active members, 5 probationers and 20 auxiliaries held an outdoor function. A Tamil praesidium organised prayers and attended Marian devotions in homes. Penang and Ipoh Comitia reported visitation of homes, auxiliary members, the sick and elderly, visits to hospitals, a HIV Aids Shelter, a prison, an Orphanage, a Leprosarium, a H

EUROPE

AUSTRIA AND CARETAKER COUNTRIES
The 21 Austrian legionaries who visited Dublin were delighted with their Summer School. One praesidium in Vienne visited a hostel of 800 students. Korean Curia: 9 adults received Baptism after 6 months instruction. The Croation Curia started a new junior praesidium. They visited Sarajeva when Pope Francis was there and did an interview with Radio Medjugorje. Bregenz Curia organised a Mass for the Cause of Alfie Lambe in Schwarzach. Zwetti Comitium: A former member was ordained to the priesthood. Ybbs had 60 at a Day of Reflection.

UKRAINE
A student African Curia was set up on 7th March with 9 praesidia based in 8 different cities. Kiev Curia: Officers met with Archbishop Petro. The 20th Anniversary of the Legion in Kemenets Podolski was marked by Mass celebrated by the Bishop. Sr. Kriss and Sr. Steiner spent 2 weeks in Ukraine.

MOLDOVA
Over 100 legionaries from 8 praesidia attended the Acies of Chisinau Curia. Bishop Anton Casa is very supportive of the Legion.

BULGARIA: The 6 praesidia were visited in June by the Austrian Senatus.

SLOVAKIA
Trnava Curia: Two men in Pezinok came back to Confession and a 55 year old Downs Syndrome man made his First Holy Communion. Zseliz Comitium conducts a ‘Pilgrim Gospel’ visitation where a Bible, Rosary beads and candle are left with families. Hungarian and Slovakian-speaking legionaries worked together in Leirce.

CZECH REPUBLIC
Prague Comitium started 3 new praesidia. Olmutz Comitium is responsible for the Legion website and Czech edition of the Regina Legionis. Their Spiritual Director, Fr. Dobes contacted his fellow priests regarding Frank Duff’s Cause and many Churches now have Frank Duff prayer leaflets.

BELARUS
The annual Retreat took place in Baranovichi from 13-15 August. At the Comitium meeting held on conclusion of the Retreat, the attached Curiae reported. Solid apostolate is undertaken in all cases. Works include preparing parishioners for Confession, visitation of homes, hospitals and an Orphan Asylum, census of Catholics, speaking with young people in parks and evangelising at Railway Stations. Lida Curia made extension efforts in 3 towns. Two legionaries from Minsk went to Grodno to do recruiting. They spoke at 4 Sunday Masses. One lady showed some interest. Two Parish Priests in Minsk have requested the formation of the Legion in their parishes. A new Curia was formed in Smorgan in September. This brings the composition of the Comitium to 12 Curiae and 10 directly attached praesidia.

CROATIA AND COUNCILS UNDER CARETAKERSHIP
Fr. Ivan Cindori, S.J. is the newly appointed Spiritual Director of the Regia. In April the monthly Radio Maria programme of the Legion was a presentation of ‘The Theology of the Apostolate’ by Cardinal Suenans. Fruits of extension efforts were the setting up by Curiae of 2 senior and 2 junior praesidia. A new apostolate in Comitium Osijek is recital of the Rosary with veterans of the War of Indepenence. This Comitium organised a presentation of the Legion in Holy Cross Parish, Ruma, in the Republic of Serbia.

SLOVENIA: A meeting was held with the Archbishop of Ljubljana to discuss extension of the Legion in Slovenia.

BOSNIA HERZEGOVINA
Sarajevo Curia: A regular apostolate is carried out to a Home for children who are without parental care. Hospitals and care homes are also visited. The legionaries also help the blind to go to Mass on Sundays.

HUNGARY
Budapest Regia has 24 praesidia, 5 Comitia and 10 Curiae attached. They have 5 Correspondents. The Handbook has been reprinted incorporating the 2014 amendments. All councils visit the sick and elderly and help them to receive the Sacraments. One praesidium holds Bible classes for children, giving out Rosary beads and Miraculous Medals. Rosary beads donated from Austria were given to the children in Summer Camps. Legionaries in Ujpest Curia took part in street apostolate. Bishop Istvan Katona attended Eger Curia Acies.

LATVIA
Riga Comitium: In June 47 legionaries attended the Annual Comitium Retreat conducted by Fr. Uldis Cesiniets, the new Spiritual Director of Jelgava. Our Lady Refuge of Sinners praesidium with 7 members celebrated their 20th anniversary with Mass and a social evening with 23 of their Auxiliary members. A new praesidium was started in Saulkrastos Riga with 4 members. Jelgava Curia, with 3 praesidia discussed the Legion Promise at their July meeting. Rev. Fr. Cesiniets, their new Spiritual Director encouraged them to build up the Curia by daily recruiting and not to be afraid to ask people to join the Legion.

LITHUANIA
Kaunas Comitium: In Vilnius Archdiocese, Mother of Mercy Curia set up a new praesidium with 5 members. Srauliai Diocese: Immaculate Conception Curia set up 4 new praesidia bringing to 9 the number of praesidia attached to Curia. Vilkaviskis Diocese: In Marijampole Curia a praesidium of 7 members held a monthly Patrician meeting with an average attendance of 15-20 parishioners. They also hold monthly prayer and adoration for young people with an average attendance of 10-14.

Telsiai Comitium: This council has 12 praesidia and 2 Curiae affiliated. Extension efforts continue with approaches to new parishes. The main works of the legionaries is visitation of families, hospitals and auxiliaries. A youth praesidium of 5 members organises children’s adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on the last Friday of each month at which 10-20 children are in attendance. Some fruits of their visitation were: A 34 year old mother and her two children prepared for Baptism and, her husband for Confession after a long absence: One couple received the Sacrament of Matrimony. During hospital visitation 44 people were encouraged to go to Confession. Resulting from visits to persons with alcohol problems, 2 went to Confession after 5 and 10 years. Three children were baptised.

POLAND
Lublin Regia: The Regia continues to extend, now numbering 621 praesidia.
In addition to the usual apostolic work, religious leaflets were distributed and contacts with parishioners made near businesses trading on Sundays.

Praga Comitium (Warsaw): Legionaries do a lot visitation, caring for the sick in their homes and in nursing homes. On street apostolate they distribute Miraculous Medals and speak with, among others, lapsed Catholics. Wolomin Curia, with 15 praesidia is the biggest in the Comitium. Some of their works are helping those in Hospice care, in Hostels for homeless and spiritual adoption of the unborn. The Comitium has a new Spiritual Director, Fr. Kosiorowske, a Marian Father, who advised that prayer for Poland is most important.

ROMANIA
Satu Mere Regia: The Regia reported good attendance of active and auxiliary members at the Acies in April. 2 praesidia organised Faith groups for young people. Other works undertaken are organising Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and helping with Radio Maria. Bucharest Curia: It is hoped that the 2 German legionaries who visited in April will soon make a return visit.

IRISH PROVINCIAL REPORT
COMITIA

Dromore Comitium: The council has 1 junior, 6 senior praesidia and one Curia attached. Works of a praesidium in Newry include hospital and nursing home visitation and they help other praesidia in Newry with school visitation. The Pilgrimage to Knock was advertised in each Parish in the Comitium area.

Navan Comitium: The works of a praesidium with 6 members, 5 of whom are Praetorians, include visitation of 150 homes in the parish, organising Parish Group Rosaries; 10 homes hosted same. They promote the Pioneers to young people, enrolling eight Pioneers. They also assist with children’s Blessed Sacrament Adoration, contact non-Catholics during Church Unity Week and teach prayers to children of mixed marriages. Another praesidium visited 600 homes. A praesidium of 5 members does home, hospital and nursing home visitation and promote the three Legion Causes. Trim Curia: Works of the 2 reporting praesidia include home visitation and street contact. 80 emigrant Newsletters are sent 3 times a year. Mullingar Curia: The reporting praesidium with 5 members is involved in the Alfie Lambe Committee in Tullamore.

Derry Comitium: The main works of a praesidium with 6 members and 40 auxiliaries are home visitation and street contact where people are drinking and often homeless. They have an “open house” every Friday where tea is provided and casual conversation is followed by the Rosary. The works of another praesidium with 8 members include home and Pilgrim Statue visitation and recital of the Rosary with school children. Long Tower praesidium has 6 members who undertake home and Pilgrim Statue visitation and they keep in touch with their 20 auxiliaries. Inishowen Curia has 55 members in its 9 praesidia. Among the works carried out are Pilgrim Statue home visitation plus condolence visits to bereaved families.

Raphoe Comitium: Creeslough praesidium has 42 auxiliaries and a junior praesidium attached with 7 members. At the request of the Parish Priest they helped to organise the Corpus Christi Procession. The praesidium keeps in close touch with the priests of the parish and is given special tasks by them. A praesidium in Letterkenny has 48 auxiliaries. Their main work is the visitation of an Acute Psychiatric Unit where they pray the Rosary every week with the patients. They visited Letterkenny Information Technology College on 4 occasions during the year, also people feeling lonely and bereaved families. As a result of their visits one lady has joined the Catholic Church. The praesidium in Killybegs does crowd contact when Cruise ships come into port.

CURIAE

Leitrim Curia: The works of a junior praesidium include making Rosary beads and filling Holy Water bottles for the senior legionaries to distribute on visitation. They also prepare topic-papers for the Patricians. Recently one person after attending such a meeting was moved to go to Confession after a long absence. Longford senior praesidium has 8 members. Consecration of families to the Sacred Heart is promoted on home visitation. One man was baptised last year and a legionary was Godmother and then maid-of-honour when his marriage was regularised. Carrick-on-Shannon praesidium has 6 members. They recite a public Rosary at the Clock tower with about 10 people attending.

Clogher Curia: The reporting praesidia have 7 members in Lisknaskea, 5 in Scotstown and 9 in Edernay. Works common to all include visitation of the elderly and housebound, hospital and nursing home visitation. Legionaries speak to parishioners about the importance of the Mass.

Kilmore Curia: Cavan praesidium has 10 members and 25 auxiliaries. Legionaries visit nursing homes and elderly people living alone. The Rosary is recited during May at the Post Office Square with about 15 people attending. They helped the Adoration group to organise the Corpus Christi Procession. Schools were visited and the First Holy Communion and Confirmation classes invited along with their teachers and parents to take part in the Procession.

Clonmacnoise Curia: The 3 praesidia have a total of 23 members. This year on Pattern Day which is celebrated on the Monastic Site of St. Ciaran at Clonmacnoise every September, 7 members of the Curia undertook crowd contact work. They met a lot of American visitors including a bus load from Chicago who were delighted to receive Miraculous Medals. They also met families and distributed over 200 Miraculous Medals and leaflets for the three Causes of Frank Duff, Venerable Edel Quinn and Alfie Lambe.

Drogheda Curia: There was an attendance of 28 at a Child Safeguarding Training Day in Ardee on 20 June. Patrician meetings in Ardee in June and July had attendances of 15 and 32 respectively. There was a commemoration at the grave of the late Sr. Kathleen Allen, Legion Envoy, before the July Curia meeting. Extension is on-going in Tinure.

Dundalk Curia: The works of a reporting praesidium include, visitation of the elderly and sick at home and in 4 nursing homes and hospitals, recitation of the Rosary at wakes and funerals, promoting the Holy Hour, First Friday Devotions and Enthronement of homes to the Sacred Heart.

Down Curia (Diocese of Down & Connor): Legionaries who had just returned from a PPC project in Glasgow gave a superb report on their contacts. Their Spiritual Director was also on the team and said it was a wonderful experience.

North and Mid Antrim Curia: There are 9 senior and 2 junior praesidia attached. Members of one reporting praesidium, which has 40 auxiliary members, take the Statue of Our Lady of Fatima to homes in the parish. The family of a man who had not been practicing the faith and had major heart surgery prior to a visit by the legionaries requested the Pilgrim Statue; he now has now returned to the Sacraments. They also visited the homes of new parishioners including those from Eastern Europe and presented Confirmation packs to school children.

DUBLIN SOUTHSIDE CURIAE

A meeting of the Dublin Curia Spiritual Directors on 3rd September had 10 priests in attendance; the topics of discussion were the Synod on the Family and the Jubilee Year of Mercy.

Spouse of the Holy Spirit Curia: Venerable Edel Quinn was spoken about at the Sunday Masses of September 13th in one parish. A praesidium reported home visitation, preparing a Shopping Centre Oratory for Mass every Friday and visitation of bars to publicise the Barman’s Retreat. The Curia, along with Immaculata Curia, had a stand at the Tallafest Festival on August 15th. 800 Miraculous Medals were distributed, also religious literature.

Immaculata Curia: A team of 7 legionaries undertook school visitation during the year. The pupils of a Secondary School assembled for a talk on the Rosary. The Sacrament classes of 8 Primary Schools were spoken to and 500 religious packs distributed. 27 legionaries and 33 patricians attended 6 Patrician meetings. A praesidium organised 4 talks during the 33 days leading up to August 15th on which date 80 parishioners made the True Devotion to Mary consecration, led by the Parish Priest. 30 attended a talk on the same subject. The works of a praesidium with 7 full members and 1 probationer include home and nursing home visitation, street contact, a monthly Patrician meeting, and promoting a Rosary Confraternity of 150 members.

Mater Ecclesiae Curia: 40 legionaries and as many guests, 10 of them wheelchair-bound, attended the Annual Retreat for the Disabled; three priests heard Confessions. A Recruitment Drive was held in one parish on 6th Sept. 10 were present at the Quinn Family grave on 13th September, including Edel’s nephew. One praesidium gained 4 members during the year, now having 10, 5 men and 5 women. As well as home visitation and a weekly public Rosary, Saint Michael’s Hospital and 3 nursing homes are visited where song and music feature, plus recital of the Rosary.

Benedicta Curia: Members of one praesidium perform various roles including Sacristan, Minister of the Word and Minister of the Eucharist. Other works include home visitation and street contact. A young atheist accepted a Miraculous Medal. A visit by a priest to a woman suffering from agoraphobia, who rarely leaves her home, was arranged.

Our Lady of Fatima Wicklow Curia: The praesidium of 5 members in Kilmacanogue has 75 auxiliary members. Works include Pilgrim Statue and school visitation, plus administering the Curia website. All members of a Bray praesidium are Praetorians. Four nursing homes are visited every week. Over 50 homes accepted the Pilgrim Statue during the year. Two members are Eucharistic Ministers and help to co-ordinate Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. Legionaries are also on the Baptism and Funeral Teams and on the Council for the Pioneer Total Abstinence Association for which 8 children were enrolled.

Assumpta Curia: 6 legionaries and 19 patricians attended two meetings. Members of one praesidium visit the Royal Hospital every week. Parishioners are visited in 5 nursing homes and legionaries take the opportunity to speak with other residents as well. They became aware of the Barman’s Retreat this year and visited all pubs and hotels in the area to publicise it, and were very cordially greeted. Another praesidium with 21 auxiliary members and 9 Adjutorians run a monthly Frank Duff Prayer Group, which is in its 16th year.

Ancilla Domini Curia: Over 100 people visited Myra House on Culture Night, (held annually in September). 10 Catholics and 3 Protestants attended the August Pauline Circle; in September Canon Deverill presented a visual display of Christchurch Cathedral to the 17 attendees, which included one priest, a Marist brother and 7 Protestants. The Pauline Circle is co-ordinated by the Joy of Israel praesidium, which has 7 members and 2 probationers. The Inner City Project recruited 23 probationary auxiliaries bringing the praesidium’s total to 128 auxiliaries. One praesidium reported visiting a man who made several attempts at suicide due to the breakup of his marriage; he accepted a Miraculous Medal, made a recovery and is now reunited with his wife.

Annunciata Curia: A praesidium of 6 active and 100 auxiliary members, does home and nursing home visitation and street contact in Temple Bar. 33 patricians and 11 legionaries attended 4 meetings.

Gloriosa Curia: Several praesidia undertook a joint Exploratio Dominicalis on 13th September. In Cloverhill Prison the Segregated Wing was visited; the inmates appreciated the visit; one had been to Medjugorje, another had the Divine Mercy image in his cigarette box. In conjunction with Immaculata Curia, a True Devotion to the Nation Project was carried out in a school in August; 5 legionaries from each Curia and 7 parishioners and staff, painted the lobby and a corridor; the School Principal and the Parish Priest were very appreciative. A Children’s Retreat in the Curia House on 5th Sept had 19 children in attendance, 11 of them from the Indian Community. A visiting priest offered Mass and heard Confessions. The Retreat also included prayer, football and Arts & Crafts.

AFRICA
BURUNDI
Gitega Senatus: Former Envoy, Sr. Adriana Nahimana, was welcomed to the April meeting. Each Senatus meeting receives a report from one directly attached praesidium, a condensed report from the affiliated Curiae and reports from 4 to 7 Comitia revealing a huge variety of faith-focused works and also projects of a True Devotion to the Nation nature such as tidying up graveyards, cultivating land and fetching water and wood for invalided people. A building to house the Senatus has been constructed and is ready for fitting out.

CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC
Bangui Senatus: The Senatus, which was temporarily unable to meet during the revolution is meeting regularly again. Curiae are busy trying to get praesidia back on track after the flight of many people from their homes. The Senatus Spiritual Director, Abbe Benjamin Titi-Soya, had to follow parishioners who fled to the safety of the Airport and was still saying Mass for them there two years later. Reports indicate that many legionaries and Christians lost their lives but that acts of heroic witness to the faith were also in evidence, resulting in lives being spared in several instances. The Senatus noted with appreciation that their sufferings were reported in Maria Legionis and the French Bulletin and legionaries worldwide were asked to pray for them.

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO
Kisangani Senatus: Sr. Pia Makengo and Br. Henri Kaite of Brussels Senatus represented the Concilium at the raising of Kisangani Regia to Senatus status on Saturday 11th October in the presence of Archbishop Marcel Utembi-Tapa. Most of the major councils of the country sent representatives.

Kananga Senatus: This council, otherwise known as the Senatus of Kasai governs the Legion in West and East Kasai. Reports indicate visitation of attached Curiae (with 7 visited plus one junior) and Comitia (with 4 visited including the junior Comitium) in the four month period. The affiliated Regia of Mbuji-Mayi reported the formation of 9 praesidia. The Spiritual Director of the Senatus, Abbé Pierre Tchinbombo Mudiba celebrated the Golden Jubilee of his priesthood on 5th July at St’s. Peter & Paul Church, Biancky.

Kinshasa Senatus: 2 of the 3 Concilium representatives attended their meeting prior to going to Kisangani to attend the raising of the Regia there to Senatus. The visa for the third visitor arrived too late for him to travel. Other possibilities are being explored to enable better and more regular communication between it and the Concilium.

Lubumbashi Senatus: Thirty three members attended the meeting which covers 11 Comitia, 10 Curia and 6 attached praesidia. Bikira Wa Heshima Curia members visited a prison, starting with prayers at 8.00 am, Mass at 9.00 attended by 800 prisoners of various faiths. Afterwards contacts were made and food was distributed. The visit ended at 2.00 pm with the concluding Legion prayers.
The Comitium of Katanga Diocese has 12 Curiae with 120 praesidia and an average of 20 members in each praesidium. They also have junior praesidia. In June 380 young legionaries wanted to visit the main prison in Lubumbashi but only 100 were allowed to visit. In July two legionaries were ordained to the priesthood and one became a deacon. All Curiae organised Exploratio Dominicalis projects.

Butembo Senatus: The Senatus celebrated its 25th anniversary on 14 August. Due to officers from Bukavu, Goma and Kisangani attending the Jubilee celebrations, there were 182 present at the August Senatus meeting. High Mass was celebrated in Butembo Cathedral by His Excellency Archbishop Sikuli Paluku Melchisdech with 53 priests and 2 deacons present. A message of congratulations from the Concilium was read on the development of the Legion and their fidelity to the Legion System. Reports from affiliated Regia, Comitia and praesidia were given at Senatus meetings for June to September. New Comitia were set up in two Dioceses in June. Several cohabitating couples got married and had their children baptised. 41 people returned to Sunday Mass. The sick, poor and widows were visited and couples reconciled, prisoners visited and prepared for Confession. A woman was dissuaded from having an abortion. Conversions from other Christian Churches and sects were reported; 26 alcoholics gave up the drink and 30 people became catechists.

RWANDA
Kigali Senatus: Reports mention home, prison and auxiliary visitation as well as the holding of Auxiliary Rallies and Exploratio Dominicalis. Kanyanza Comitium, with over 2,300 active members reported having over 2,000 junior legionaries. Nyundo Comitium has over 5,200 active senior members. Many councils have praesidia in Secondary Schools. Contact work in the Red Light district is also undertaken to both adults and street children.

Mauritius Regia (Rodrigues): Two Concilium representatives were present by invitation on Sunday 6th of September to join in the 75th Anniversary celebrations of the founding of the Legion by Edel Quinn in 1940. It was a most joyful occasion with Holy Mass in the open air at Thabor concelebrated by Monsignor Maurice Piat with many priests. The junior legionaries contributed greatly with wonderful choirs, dancing, mime, ballet and drama. A beautiful magazine was printed for the occasion which included a letter of congratulations from the Concilium.

Réunion (Madagascar) This council celebrated its 70th anniversary on 11th of October. Two French legionaries attended as Concilium representatives. The celebrations were very joyful. The large island of Madagascar was visited by Réunion legionaries from the 14th July to the 8th August, during which distances of between 400 to 900 km. per day were covered by car.

SOUTH AMERICA

ARGENTINA
Buenos Aires Senatus: Many councils are now holding Youth Conferences. The procession through the streets of Buenos Aires to Alfie Lambe’s grave each year attracts great crowds, mostly youth. When Pope Francis was in Bolivia he asked that special attention be given to the many immigrants from that country. In the Senatus area many Bolivian immigrants are active legionaries.

Salta Senatus: The members hope many children, whose parents are active legionaries, will join junior praesidia. In the central square of Salta City the Legion altar is set up. It is a great centre for promoting the apostolate and a huge success for recruiting and promoting the Alfie’s Cause. On street contact legionaries in the Regia of Jujuy seek out the street people, youths who have drug and alcohol problems. Corrientes Regia: A praesidium reported that during Advent they brought a statue of the Child Jesus on home visitation. Once a week they join the priest for a Eucharistic Procession, providing music. The Comitium in Paso de los Libres visits Bolivian and Paraguayan immigrants in a new suburb. In another suburb a priest with young legionaries does Enthronement of the Sacred Heart. Rosario Regia: A celebration of the life of Alfie Lambe was held in the Basilica highlighting the work of Alfie and the Legion of Mary in Argentina. An elderly lady was baptised and received First Holy Communion before she died.

BRAZIL
Belem Senatus: An Exploratio Dominicalis was directed to those living on a river bank in this Amazonian region. Street people were also contacted with some convinced to return to their homes. There is close involvement with the Church’s pastoral projects, one legionary being the coordinator of the Baptism Pastoral Project with talks given to a total of 300 parents and godparents.

Belo Horizonte Senatus: 557 patients were visited in a hospital, with 54 going to Confession, 179 receiving Holy Communion and 27 being anointed. For people infected with HIV a monthly reflection takes place on the Gospel; prayers are said and songs sung. A beautiful coronation of Our Lady took place with meditations on her virtues. After praying to Edel Quinn a legionary received news from her son who had been out of contact for more than a year.

Fortaleza Senatus: The Senatus divided the Comitium of Crato to form another Comitium in Juazeiro do Norte and are preparing to set up three more Comitia. The Curia in Iguatu recorded 26 First Holy Communions, 39 Confirmations, five marriages and six Baptisms with the preparation done by the legionaries. Ponta Grossa Senatus: In July the sixth National Conference for young legionaries was held in Curitiba with an attendance of 160. Reports show recruitment of 146 new active legionaries and 46 auxiliaries. Three praesidia for young people and a praesidium for adults were set up. Ten adults received Baptism. Two families returned to the Church.

Recife Senatus: Three praesidia were set up in the Senatus. A suburban Comitium has over 1,500 active members. In a Recife suburb juniors have been presenting a radio programme for the past 15 years. The Regia of João Pessoa report 11,000 visits to families, also the baptism of eight adults and the preparation of 100 youths for Confirmation.

Rio de Janeiro Senatus: The Regia in São João e Meriti reports almost 3,000 visits to homes and over 2,000 to the sick. In the Amazonian town of Labrea 450 children and 60 adults received catechesis. The Rosary is recited in public squares and at a Metro Station. It was reported that there were three cures through the intercession of Frank Duff. In the general Rio area senior and junior praesidia were set up and a Curia was established in Niteroi Regia.

Salvador Senatus: This council arranged for two Peregrinatio Pro Christo projects, one held in September and one to take place in November. Reports from one Curia show legionaries advising one man to give up drugs and another not to commit murder. Drug addicts in a Recovery House were visited. A Comitium held a Congress.

Santa Maria Senatus: Legionaries accompany the priest administering the Sacrament of the Sick and lead a Rosary each day in May in a local Chapel dedicated to Our Lady. Six Curiae with 62 paesidia have an average of 15 members in each praesidium.

São Luis Senatus: Works such as preparation people for Holy Communion, Confirmation and Marriage, an apostolate to prostitutes and drug addicts, plus visitation of families in poor areas are done with great zeal. Enthronement of the Sacred Heart and of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is undertaken to homes.

São Paulo Senatus: The Regia of Cuiabá in Mato Grosso State reported over 3,000 visits and almost 2,000 return visits. They made 1,710 visits to hospitals with the image of Our Lady and reported the conversion of a Muslim couple.

Brasilia Regia: A Comitum in a suburb of Brasilia reports one thousand hours spent in contacting almost three thousand people. A special effort is made to encourage all to take an active part in the Church’s pastoral programmes. The need for home visitation was highlighted when it was reported that a Comitium in a southern suburb of Brasilia in its visitation met families where there were 130 children without Baptism.
