AFRICA

UGANDA
Senatus of Uganda: Minutes show very good administration with in-depth advice given following reports at Senatus. Works include visits to homes, hospitals, clinics, prisons, schools, shops, police and army barracks and other work places, street contact including with prostitutes and destitute people, organising juniors and catechism classes with many receiving the Sacraments, lapsed Catholics returning to the Church and conversions. The Annual Reunion is organised by a Comitium in a different Diocese each year and the Senatus wishes its focus to be on liturgy, adoration, and entertainment. The December Reunion started with a Marian Procession through the town. The Bishop was the Chief Celebrant at the concluding Mass.

KENYA
Senatus of Kenya: All councils had Mass offered on the Anniversary of the Servant of God, Frank Duff. Each month the Rosary and Legion prayers are recited at the grave of Venerable Edel Quinn. A new Curia was established in a Seminary. All councils are involved in evangelisation and reports at Senatus show that large numbers of adults and children were prepared for Baptism. Many marriages were blessed and many prisoners instructed in the faith.

MALAWI
Blantyre Senatus: The Senatus has a very committed group of correspondents who receive monthly reports from attached councils. Council visitation is carried out regularly and elections are up to date.
Maula Senatus: The Senatus Officers are visiting their attached councils to get to know the legionaries and to ensure that correct procedure is followed when elections are being carried out.

NIGERIA
Ibadan Senatus: One Curia reported 7 new praesidia formed and another Curia is having the Tessera translated into the Nupe language. 6,392 contacts were made during the Ibadan Project in August 2015.
Abuja Senatus: The Senatus is planning to build a Legion House. At the December meeting officers were asked for an improvement in the handling of juniors by all praesidia and councils. Lagos Regia: Councils promote the causes of Frank Duff and Venerable Edel Quinn and Alfie Lambe. One Comitium reported 9 marriages regularised after between 5 to 15 years co-habiting.
Enugu Senatus: One Comitium has over 3,000 seniors and 16 junior Curiae with almost 5,000 members. Reports included: 777 prepared for First Holy Communion, 457 for Confirmation; 137 marriages blessed and 29 family disputes settled. Onitsha Regia: A Curia with over 500 members has 102 probationers. People were prepared for the various Sacraments, and 30 couples were helped to receive the Sacrament of Matrimony. Jos Regia: The legionaries are continuing to try and meet and carry out their apostolate despite difficulties. One Comitium has 1,045 legionaries of whom 269 are probationers. Reports include: 59 prepared for First Holy Communion; 5 marriages blessed and 7 lapsed returned to the Sacraments. Ikot Ekpene Regia: Reports from a Comitium included: 70 adults and 43 children baptised; 92 received First Holy Communion; 4 marriages blessed and 343 legionaries recruited.

TANZANIA
Dar-Es-Salaam Regia: Among the activities are visiting homes, the sick at home and in hospital, an apostolate to sex workers, teaching in Sunday Schools, looking after juniors, leading prayers in Church and doing works of service. Many received the Sacraments, especially marriage, and many lapsed returned to the Church. There has been a positive response from sex workers regarding abandoning their trade. Recruiting projects have resulted in a good number of new praesidia and some were revived. The Regia audit was being finalised. Prayers were requested for more religious tolerance in some areas.
Mtwara Comitium: The main focus of their work recently has been promoting family prayer especially in small Christian communities, but a recent letter asks for prayers due to their low membership. They have made good efforts to recruit, but there are many organisations and groups and some legionaries tend to be involved in a number of Church-based activities.
Kahama Comitium: There are 21 parishes in the Diocese, 11 with the Legion, with 852 active seniors, 103 juniors and 237 Auxiliaries The Comitium has 4 directly attached praesidia and 11 Curiae. Their home visitation includes the elderly, sick and lonely, bereaved families and people of different faiths; they recite prayers at funerals and teach children to pray the Rosary. 16 people joined the Catholic Church and 5 received the Sacraments. Frank Duff’s Cause is widely promoted. Extension and visitation of councils is done despite the long distances involved.
Hai Moshi Comitium: Works include home and hospital visitation, contact with drug and alcohol addicts, encouraging couples to marry in Church and preparing adults and children for the Sacraments. 5 new praesidia were established in schools in one parish. Many of the out-of-touch Tanzanian councils are written to regularly and the bulletin is sent monthly. The Legion Statutes have been forwarded. An Indian priest working in a parish in Tabora Archdiocese wrote to Concilium seeking help in starting the Legion in his parish. While visiting a neighbouring parish he got a copy of the Concilium Bulletin. Much interest is expressed in the Bulletin by a number of councils.

ZAMBIA
Lusaka Regia: Works reported on: visiting homes, the sick at home and in hospitals, health centres, orphanages, teaching catechism, visiting catechumens and helping with Sunday school. The results included: lapsed returning to the faith and some non-Catholics agreeing to join the Catholic Church. One Curia had a Retreat with 128 present. A Comitium held a three-day Seminar and two new Comitia were inaugurated.

SIERRA LEONE
Freetown Curia: Among their works are home visits to families of bereaved, new parishioners, hospital visitation including to the military hospital, organising Parish Novenas, leading the Rosary in Church and assisting with RCIA classes. Visitation was hampered due to the Ebola virus, but now legionaries continue with their activities. Plans from their recent Congress include promoting junior membership, encouraging priests and religious to become Spiritual Directors, improving recruiting methods, creating an awareness of works of Mercy and of the environment.

THE GAMBIA
Banjul Curia: This Curia has 8 senior praesidia with 147 members, 40 of whom are probationers, and 4 junior praesidia with 100 members. Works include home and hospital visitation, plus teaching of catechism.

EUROPE

PORTUGAL
Lisbon Senatus: Extension resulted in 9 new praesidia, two being in Porto Regia, and two in Coimbra. Some praesidia have a 50% Praetorian membership. Legionaries help the old with household work, sewing and shopping. Members look after children to enable mothers to work. Children met on visitation are enrolled in catechism classes. Reports tell of catechesis for children and adults. Setubal Curia: Legionaries work among gypsies and teach catechism to adolescents. 10, 000 took part in the October Legion Pilgrimage to Fatima.

CYPRUS: A woman from the Philippines, disillusioned by Church scandals, and lapsed met Filipino legionaries in Nicosia who helped her to return to the Church and to join the Legion. She hopes to soon take her legionary Promise.


SPAIN
Madrid Senatus: A praesidium visits old folks’ homes, including one for priests. Another contacts street girls in the streets and follows up various cases. Extension figures prominently in reports with the Curia Virgin de la Paloma starting a new praesidium and the Curia in Las Palmas, starting 2 new senior praesidia and 1 junior praesidium. The Curia in Badajoz visits the prison while in Jaén a praesidium in the women’s prison evangelises among its fellow prisoners. The Curia in Malaga celebrated its 50th Anniversary and contacts youth in an apostolate called “Night Evangelisation.”
Barcelona Senatus: The praesidium in Sabadell, with 8 members, reports that they are “very Legion in spite of being very old.” They held a Holy Week Retreat and gave catechism classes for First Holy Communicants. A praesidium with 10 members in Barcelona takes an invalid to Mass, help in Mother Teresa’s Food Centre, make sandwiches for the homeless on the street. On Good Friday they had a three hour Stations of the Cross on the street; they show a film once a month in the parish with discussion afterwards. A praesidium of l4 active members (aged 70 to 9l years old) say the Rosary in the Chapel of Our Lady of Montserrat, look after the altar linen, help with Caritas and with Church collections. Another praesidium, has eleven active members, one a legionary for 44 years; one member is a catechist. They help with Adoration and visit Residences.
Bilbao Senatus: One new praesidium was set up. The Curia in Burgos, with 6 praesidia, visit the blind, the sick, and lonely, and 3 people in jail. They visit the mothers of several sons who died from use of drugs, also the bereaved, and the parents of newly-born children. They held 3 morning Retreats and distributed Catholic literature.

ITALY
Milan Regia: A new praesidium for Peruvian immigrants has started with 5 members. A praesidium focuses on visitation of persons suffering from depression and other mental health problems and is well received.
Padova Comitium: Reports stress difficulties experienced due to a predominantly elderly membership. Many auxiliaries are recruited from those who recite the Rosary after Mass.

MALTA
Malta Regia: The Regia has launched a new website. Much attention is given to auxiliaries with half-day Retreats and the Acies. The Pilgrim Statue is brought to homes, shops and offices where the Rosary is promoted. Consecration of homes to the Sacred Heart is also promoted and tourists are contacted on the street and outside Churches. An intermediate praesidium of 8 members aged 13 to 16 years works with the senior praesidium. A young seniors’ praesidium of 8 members encourages contacts to attend Mass and the Sacraments. The Pilgrim Statue taken to Restaurants and business premises resulted in positive feed-back where many said that Our Lady had showered great graces on them. Child of Mary Curia with 11 praesidia reported many good contacts with Jehovah Witnesses, and those of other faiths. One praesidium enrolled 180 new auxiliaries. Gozo Comitium: The Bishop of Gozo attended the Comitium Officers meeting and reported on his visit to the Synod on the Family in Rome. He asked the Legion to help the Church, with special care of families. Contact was made with many tourists visiting local Churches. Legionaries gave English tuition to migrants. A lapsed Catholic returned to practice after several years. A Retreat for auxiliaries was held. Gozo has 4 junior Curiae whose activities include Retreats, exhibitions and craft lessons.

GREECE. (Under the Caretakership of Malta Regia)
In Thessalonika the Greek praesidium lost some members who left Greece for employment reasons. The English-speaking praesidium members have been invited to join the Greek-speaking group.

IRISH PROVINCIAL COUNCILS

COMITIA
Dromore Comitium: Hilltown praesidium undertakes activities for senior citizens and work for youth, such as First Communion and Confirmation; it also helps out at sports activities, ceili (Irish dancing) and set dancing. Burren praesidium has 6 members and 60 auxiliaries. They do home visitation with a Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, and encourage vocations to the priesthood. The Rosary is recited weekly in a Grammar school with 30 to 40 attending.
Navan Comitium: A praesidium of 5 members spoke on home visitation to Pentecostals, Muslims and a Hindu about the Catholic Church. They visit settled Travellers and recite the Rosary with them. Another praesidium of 6 members visited 1,060 houses and apartments, undertook contact in Navan Shopping Centre and had a float in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which included a Statue of Our Lady. Two members helped to organise a children’s All Saints party on the feast of All Saints.
Derry Comitium: The reporting praesidium visits its 30 auxiliaries annually. Their many works include home visitation, Pilgrim Statue and visitation of residential homes. They also distribute Miraculous Medals and Rosary Beads to Primary School leavers. The opening address will be given by Bishop Donal McKeown at 10.00 a.m. Inishowen Curia has 9 praesidia with 47 members and 227 auxiliaries. Among the works are visitation of the sick and elderly, hospital visitation and Pilgrim Statue apostolate.
Raphoe Comitium: Falcarragh praesidium has 72 auxiliaries whom they visited during the year and gave letters advising them of Legion functions to which they were invited. At the invitation of Fr. Donnchadh O’Baoill, Parish Priest of Cnoc Fola, one of their members helped to set up a new praesidium called Radharc na Maidne and it is an all Gaelic-speaking praesidium. Raphoe praesidium: Their main work continues to be Religious instruction classes for children. At present they have one child preparing for First Holy Communion and 3 for Confirmation.

CURIAE
Leitrim Curia: Mohill praesidium has 8 members and one probationer, 4 members are Praetorians. Works include home visitation with the Statue of Our Lady of Fatima and care of the elderly who live alone. They use the Joy of Confession leaflet on contact work during the Year of Mercy.
Kilmore Curia: The Curia discussed ways to strengthen their praesidia. Efforts are to be made to promote the Legion, perhaps at Masses in the different parishes where there is a praesidium.
Clonmacnoise Curia: There are 3 praesidia attached with a total of 23 members in Mount Temple, Athlone and Ferbane. Works undertaken: Home visitation, visiting the local hospital and Primary Schools in the area.
North and Mid Antrim Curia: Portrush praesidium has 7 members and 30 auxiliaries. Works include, home, hospital and nursing home visitation. They recite the Rosary at the homes and in Funeral Homes for deceased parishioners. Their junior praesidium sent a Spiritual Bouquet to the Holy Father at Christmas and received 2 letters of appreciation on his behalf from the Vatican.
Down Curia: The reporting praesidium has 6 members, 4 of whom are Praetorians. They have 2 Adjutorians and 136 auxiliaries. Works include Fatima Statue visitation, Consecration of homes to the Sacred Heart and contact with the Confirmation and Holy Communion classes. They gave a power-point presentation on the Miraculous Medal.
Drogheda Curia: The principal works of a reporting praesidium are taking the Pilgrim Statue with them when doing home visitation. They have 39 auxiliaries. Another praesidium has 8 members and 61 auxiliaries. Works include street contact in Drogheda, visitation of a nursing home and a hospital. Their auxiliaries are visited regularly and given Christmas cards which are much appreciated. Ardee praesidium has 9 members, 2 of whom are Praetorians and they have 58 auxiliaries and 6 Adjutorians. They meet at 7.30pm on Sunday evenings. Their apostolic works include home visitation, Patricians and praying in the Community school during State examinations.
Dundalk Curia: An effort is to be made to form a praesidium in St. Joseph’s parish, Kilcurry at the request of the Parish Priest. There is also a possibility of starting a new praesidium in St. Patrick’s parish.
West Clogher Curia: The works of Derrygonnellly praesidium include sale of Catholic newspapers and religious magazines. In the course of this work the members spend time with the elderly and housebound and inform them of parish news and events. During nursing home visitation the Rosary is recited and religious magazines distributed. The praesidium also recruited 12 parishioners to attend the Diocesan day Retreat in Lough Derg.

DUBLIN SOUTHSIDE
Benedicta Curia: A praesidium extensively promotes the 3 causes during street contact and home visitation. Finola Kennedy’s book on Frank Duff was given to a patient in St. James’ Hospital who was formerly a college lecturer. After reading this same book a Presentation Sister was enthused to become Spiritual Director of their praesidium. Two new officers were elected to the junior Curia attached to the senior Curia.

Our Lady of Fatima Wicklow Curia: Five attended the Arklow-based Frank Duff Prayer Group meeting in February. The Newcastle praesidium report 7 active members; they continue to visit the Alzheimer’s Unit every week and some patients are visited even after discharge from hospital. Two members are part of a team which helps the Parish Pastoral Worker group in preparing children for the Sacraments.

Assumpta Curia: 47 patricians and 14 legionaries attended 4 meetings. Four of the 6 members, plus 2 probationers in one praesidium are Praetorians. Many good contacts are made on Grafton Street; a South African lady of atheist parents who is not baptised, said prayer is important and attributes her faith to her grandmother. Average attendance at their monthly DVD showing is 20. In Advent a portable crib was brought onto the streets during which children were given a gift pack including the Miraculous Medal. The medal was also given to children in the three schools they visited.

Ancilla Domini Curia: One praesidium reports 4 full members and 3 probationers; the main works continue to be Temple Bar street contact and home visitation. 11 Catholics and 3 non-Catholics attended February’s Pauline Circle meeting at which the Pastor of St. Catherine’s Church on Thomas Street presented a paper. A Presentation Brother provided the paper in January.

Annunciata Curia: 37 patricians and 12 legionaries attended 5 Patrician meetings. The praesidium in U.C.D. gave its annual report. They have 4 active student members; a retired Diocesan priest is their Spiritual Director. 6 visitors came to meetings during the year. They visit and pray with elderly patients in a nursing home near the campus, run by the Little Sisters of the Poor. They also take part in Newman Society events and contact Mass-goers on campus. They also shop for patients of the Royal Hospital.

Gloriosa Curia: The Curia Lenten Retreat was given by Fr. Luuk Jansen O.P., a former legionary, and was held in the Curia House this year, with 30 legionaries in attendance; recital of the Breviary was included. 8 legionaries and 2 patricians attended a meeting in Maynooth. Monthly visitation of Cloverhill Prison continues; bracelets with pictures of the saints are very popular with prisoners; 2 prisoners asked for a private discussion with the legionaries. A praesidium set up the Legion altar in the Church porch at the weekend Masses in December and January and this facilitated many good contacts. A novel work was the weeding and cleaning of a grotto in the Church grounds; lights were mounted by a friend of the Legion.

Mary Spouse of the Holy Spirit Curia: Moves are afoot to hold a recruitment drive to get a praesidium re-started. Attendances at the Edel Quinn and Frank Duff Prayer Meetings were 13 and 6 respectively.

Immaculata Curia held a recruitment drive and had a stand at an Open Day in Pearse College. Average attendance at the five Joy of the Gospel Seminars was fifteen while 30 legionaries and 35 patricians attended 8 meetings. In their 4th annual report a praesidium reported 43 auxiliary members and a further 56 probationary auxiliaries. Their main works are home and school visitation.

Mater Ecclesiae Curia showed a DVD on ‘Science tests Faith.’ Patrician meetings had 20 and 21 attendees. A weekend recruitment drive was held. Weekly and monthly Frank Duff prayer meetings continue in two other parishes. A praesidium with 3 full, and 2 probationary members, plus 110 auxiliaries, distribute forty copies of the Maria Legionis, mostly to auxiliary members. Weekly nursing home visitation is their main work.

NORTH AMERICA AND WEST INDIES

Boston Senatus: Attached praesidia are asked for a monthly recruiting report. Bayview Curia reported works of consolation and recruiting efforts, which mainly yielded auxiliaries. The Vietnamese Curia has 119 members in 8 praesidia. Their apostolate is to the Vietnamese apartments and prison visits to teach CCD and scripture.

New York Senatus: A group of 25 legionaries participated in a PPC project to Alabama. Local legionaries also took part. Many Baptists met, enjoyed the encounter, and expressed surprise to see Catholics evangelising. Westchester Comitium made contact with 5 parishes in an effort to extend the Legion. The Senatus is in the process of restructuring its councils to improve communications and administration.

Philadelphia Senatus: Harrisburg Comitium, PA, held a successful Legion Congress last November with their Bishop Gainer present, along with 75 legionaries. The theme was, ‘The Spirituality of Frank Duff’. Among their works is prison ministry and staffing booths at state fairs and local festivals. This is the 3rd year of a praesidium’s initiative of inviting passers-by to receive ashes on Ash Wednesday, with many good contacts. Trenton Comitium, NJ, is working on building upon their seven senior and two junior praesidia. They have one attached Curia of twelve senior praesidia and one junior praesidium. Norristown Comitium continues its ministry to the street people twice a week and to the state hospital for long-stay residents. Pilgrim Statue visits and Patrician meetings are also featured. Prison visits and book barrow apostolate are reported in Scranton, Allentown, and Delaware.
Arlington Regia, VA: They did PPC to Cuba in July. Fr. Colm Mannion O.P. led their weekend Retreat and Bishop Loverde celebrated their Frank Duff Mass. Fairfax Comitium held a Retreat for 47 teenagers and made 997 contacts at a local fair. The junior Curia runs a Patrician group for juniors. The Hispanic Fairfax Curia has 13 praesidia, all of whom do home visitation. Raleigh Curia has 68 juniors in five praesidia and 11 members in the 18-40 age group.

Houston Senatus: Monthly all-night vigils continue to take place in parishes throughout the Senatus area to pray for the extension of the Legion’s evangelising mission. A long-time legionary has entered a Seminary. New Orleans Regia has visited 17 of its praesidia and 4 attached councils in the last year. Our Lady of Prompt Help, with 13 members visited 879 homes on parish census work. Their pastor is most appreciative of their efforts. Other works undertaken are enthronements to the Sacred Heart, visits with the Pilgrim Statue and teaching CCD. Lafayette Comitium continues to benefit from the promotion of True Devotion to Mary, with more parishes asking for the Legion.

Chicago Senatus: South Joliet Curia, IL, had 170 at their Reunion, 55 being children. 35 juniors brought their parents, cousins and friends to show what the Legion was all about. St. Paul Comitium, MN, has a praesidium working with young adults, teaching CCD and they plan a junior praesidium. Peoria Curia, IL, visits hospitals, nursing homes and prisons. They have started Enthronements to the Sacred Heart. Our Lady of the Angels Curia has 16 praesidia, one of which conducts a junior praesidium. Evangelising is done through Catholic radio, with young sports personalities, witnessing for their faith. The Hispanic Comitium reports 11 children making their first Holy Communion, 9 Confirmed and 8 Baptisms. The Korean Comitium gained 11 active, and 9 auxiliary members. There were 4 Baptisms and 7 returns to the Sacraments. Bishop Sirba requested Duluth Curia, MN, to continue their prison ministry on behalf of his Diocese.

St. Louis Senatus: Two prison praesidia are kept in touch with their Curia by visits of local legionaries. Praesidia members staff a Legion booth at a local fair. Due to personal contacts, 2 active and 48 auxiliary members were recruited. Door to door visits and 16 calls to non-Catholics were made, one person showing interest in converting. Nursing homes also featured in the report.

Cincinnati Senatus: They are looking for an extension worker to improve the strength of Legion. One praesidium visits a nursing home and had one resident return to the practise of faith, while another returned on her death bed. An attached council reports Adoration, nursing homes visited, and contact with a women’s prison. Detroit Regia has a recommended Resource Centre in the Archdiocese for parishes wishing to implement New Evangelisation. A new junior praesidium started and a Rosary rally had a talk on De Montfort’s True Devotion to Mary. East Cleveland Curia visit city jails to run prayer services. Apostolic work utilised about 8,000 sacramentals.

San Francisco Senatus: Promoting Pilgrim Statue, Patricians, teaching catechism, apostolate to the crowd, door to door visits, visiting the sick and organising a Marian Pilgrimage, featured for 2 praesidia with 11 and 6 members. Idaho Comitium reverted back to being a Curia, merging their 3 praesidia to make a strong Curia of 12 praesidia. 4 new praesidia were established in Oakland, while 522 homes welcomed Pilgrim Statue. North West Korean Comitium, with 5 attached Curiae, has a total of 472 active members. Mission Excelsior Curia got 42 names for follow up from a Columban drive. They continue to facilitate a Frank Duff prayer group and Patrician group. San Mateo Comitium has an extension committee.

Los Angeles Senatus: In this quarter, 4 attached praesidia reported membership of 5, 8, 12, & 13. All of these praesidia do home and hospital visitation and some crowd contact or book barrow, to speak about the Rosary, the Bible and the Eucharist. Some fruits were: validation of 1 marriage and recovery of a stroke victim who was visited by legionaries who prayed a spiritual Communion weekly with her. An attached council had 6 praesidia undertake Exploratio Dominicalis. Tijuana Curia has a young adult praesidium and has gained 7 new praesidia in the past year. Miami Regia: This council governs the Legion in 5 of the Southern States while caretaking the Legion in Jamaica and the Bahamas as well. The Spiritual Director of the Regia since 1978 and one-time Concilium’s Envoy to Mexico, Fr. Soulliere, has become ‘Spiritual Director Emeritus’. Works reported cover a wide range from door to door visits, Pilgrim Virgin visitation, jail ministry, CCD, and crowd contact.

CANADA
Senatus of Toronto: Niagara Curia has 17 praesidia with 154 active and 426 auxiliary members. Their works include door to door, visitation, book barrow and helping to staff the, ‘Out in the Cold’, homeless shelter. A praesidium has begun in St. Augustine’s Seminary, named, ‘Regina Clericorum’. The prime-mover is the Senatus Spiritual Director, Msgr. Sheehy. He states that: “The seminarians are all very surprised at the depth of sound doctrine and theology contained in the Handbook and the nature and dignity of the lay apostolate.”

Montreal Senatus: The council had a praesidium with 48 auxiliaries affiliated in December 2015. Consolation works and contacting auxiliaries by phone are prominent in harsh winter weather.

Vancouver Comitium: Mary Mother of Unity Curia held its Annual Workshop on the occasion of the Nativity of Our Lady. 100 active and auxiliaries attended. The theme: “What is considered assigned works?” Many questions were posed and discussed. Our Lady of Atonement praesidia has 6 Pilgrim Virgin Statues taken to homes. Evangelisation is a big part of their work in troubled families. One praesidium is active in Family Crusade. Many families claim successes through the Pilgrim Statue in. In another praesidium members help with, “The Door is Open” initiative every week. Members visit hospitals and nursing homes where they listen, pray and sing with the residents. A junior praesidium helps families with household duties and reciting the Rosary.

Edmonton Comitium: This council has10 attached praesidia and 3 Curiae, (2 located in Calgary). An attached praesidium with 10 active members brings 5 Pilgrim Statues to 85 homes. A couple in a ‘mixed marriage’ acknowledged that positive things happened when they accepted the statue. Four Patrician meetings had 28–40 attending.

WEST INDIES; DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Senatus of Santo Domingo: Reports feature visitation of the sick in their homes and in hospitals; also prison visitation, marriages regularised, and catechesis classes. All praesidia are encouraged to have Exploratio Dominicalis projects. The Comitium Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe has 5 attached Curiae, 756 active, 33 Praetorians, 439 auxiliaries and 19 Adjutorians. They report 408 Baptisms of adults and children and 7 marriages regularised, teaching catechises to 4,195 children and developing the Catechesis. They sought to create a dynamic, to stir up the interest of the children and formed an enthusiastic team to carry out different activities with them, including dance classes.

Senatus of Santiago de los Caballeros: Regia of La Vega reported 50 adults prepared for Baptism. A youth who had been an evangelical was prepared for the Sacraments before he died. Curia ‘Santa Maria de Monte Adentro’, with 45 members, 10 Praetorians and 20 auxiliaries, visits prisons, the sick and elderly, also orphans, and prepares couples for the regularisation of their marriages.

Haiti Senatus: Reports were received from 3 Comitia, 4 Curiae and 3 praesidia. Three of the councils have a junior Curia attached. A successful Camp Mission was held for juniors in August. Works include: visits to homes, hospitals, prisons, care homes for disabled people, orphans, co-habiting couples, bereaved families, sick and elderly people in their homes to whom they bring Holy Communion and they often accompany priests on sick calls. They also organise Catechism and Bible courses and in the course of their work, people of various faiths and none were met. Many were prepared for the Sacraments, some lapsed returned to the Church and family conflicts were resolved. One legionary joined a Missionary Religious Congregation.
