The world is longing for such joy – true joy. In his Apostolic Exhortation on Christian Joy,8 written in the Holy Year of 1975, Pope Paul VI wrote words as relevant today as they were then: ‘Technological society has succeeded in multiplying the opportunities for pleasure, but it has great difficulty in generating joy.’

The Church holds the formula for this true joy. We have something wonderful to bring to the world. It is a message which is not only true, but joyful. It is a message the world badly needs to hear, and the time is right.
