Death of Former Concilium Officer

DEATH OF FORMER CONCILIUM OFFICER

Sr. Rosaleen Brogan died on 15th December 2016. She was a faithful member of Assumpta Curia, based in Lower Mount Street, which then moved to Herbert Place, Dublin 4, for many years, having served as its President. When Jimmy Cummins died Rosaleen led the initiative in the work for non-Catholics where she gave a wonderful service to clergy and laity alike.
She then moved to Ancilla Domini and served also as President of that Curia based in Myra House, Francis Street. The praesidium she belonged to in that Curia was based in Donore Avenue where she was an active member until ill health meant she retired from active membership and later moved to the Earlsbrook Nursing Home in Bray where she died.
Rosaleen also served as Concilium Secretary, Assistant Secretary (overseeing the Dublin Curiae) and Concilium Assistant Treasurer, looking after Literature ordering and sales – a span of 18 years. She also took charge of the Legion committee which organised the 75th Anniversary of the Legion and did an admirable job in that capacity. May her soul rest in peace.
