AFRICA
IVORY COAST
Senatus of Abidjan: Three praesidia and eight Comitia reported during this period. Their combined membership is: 7,424 active, of whom 1,108 are Praetorian; 2,507 Auxiliaries, of whom 256 are Adjutorian and 2,582 probationers. They made 101,290 visits to a variety of locations; 726,928 contacts of whom 297,082 were Catholic; the remainder were of other beliefs and people of no religion. The fruits of their work included: families reconciled 212; marriages regularised 158; returns to Mass 259; Baptisms 361; Confirmations 532; Sacrament of Reconciliation 98; Sacrament of the Sick 217; Catechumens recruited 1,415, bringing the total under instruction to 8,535. The number of legionaries teaching the Catechism is 38, Extension work: one new Comitium, 3 senior Curiae and one junior Curia were established. Contact was re-established with the Legion in the neighbouring country, Mali.

CONGO
Senatus of Brazzaville: During the period of August to November 2015, the apostolic work of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Regia resulted in 30,000 contacts (11,000 Catholics, 4,000 Protestants and 2,000 members of sects), resulting in 134 people agreeing to take on instruction in the catechism, 5 marriages regularised, 63 couples reconciled and 23 returns to the Sacraments. The Regia Officers organised a 3-day Seminar of formation for officers with the theme ‘The Government of the Legion’. The works of four directly attached praesidia, with an active membership of 11, 12, 24 and 26 plus 11 probationers, include teaching catechism, preparing the liturgy, visiting homes, the sick and elderly, prisoners, the poor, orphans and widows. Over the course of the year, they reported 13 people agreeing to receive instruction in the catechism, 16 couples reconciled and 3 returns to the Sacraments. Two new praesidia and one new Curia were set up in the Dioceses of Imfondo and Gamboma. In November, the Senatus held a day Retreat on the theme, ‘With Mary let us welcome the Divine Mercy’. Approximately 900 legionaries, including juniors who were given instruction on the spiritual and corporal works of mercy, attended. A legionary from the Senatus, while in Gabon, visited several praesidia in Franceville and encouraged the legionaries in Handbook formation.

EQUATORIAL GUINEA
Malabo Regia: A Comitium officer from Bata on the mainland attends the Regia meeting every month which indicates the positive integration of Bata with the new Regia. New members are encouraged to study and know the Handbook. A member of a praesidium was encouraged by the other members to pursue his vocation and enter the Seminary. One praesidium recruited 6 new members while another divided when numbers got too numerous. The Regia is taking steps to visit isolated parts of the country; recently they visited the island of Annobón, where they had set up a praesidium some time ago.

CAMEROON
Douala Senatus: Many new senior and junior praesidia have been set up. Works include visitation of prisons (where four prisoners made their Legion promise), visits to orphanages, homes, hospitals, contacting homeless as well as Exploratio Dominicalis. In Bamenda a new praesidium was formed in a University complex. The Senatus congratulated Bertoua Regia for having the Legion of Mary in every parish in its area.

TOGO
Senatus of Lome was invited by Abidjan Senatus to participate at the celebrations of 65 years of the Legion of Mary in Ivory Coast on the 30th and 31st January 2016. Two legionaries will be going. Two other legionaries will be going to Burkina-Faso to prepare for the PPC to Ouagadougou. A PPC to Abor in Ghana took place from 28th August – 8th September 2015. Many reports mention Exploratio Dominicalis. Two junior Curia are in the process of being set-up and most councils mention the junior movement.

SENEGAL
Dakar Comitium: Great efforts are being made to follow the advice from the Togolese extension workers. Works include home, hospital, prison, auxiliary visitation and contacts with people of other beliefs. Some reports mention juniors. A Congress was held in Thies, which had a great attendance. Bishop Andre Gueye gave the legionaries his blessing.

BURKINA FASO
Ouagadougou Comitium: A meeting of Diocesan Spiritual Directors was held at Koudougou and a praesidium of Civil Servants has been set up in Fada Diocese. The Comitium of Bobo-Dioulasso was restarted by Sr. Odette Die, former President of Abidjan Senatus, Ivory Coast, at the request of the Bishop.

CENTRAL AMERICA

MEXICO
Mexico City Senatus: 2 praesidia, 5 Curiae 4 Comitia and 2 Regia reported during this period. An auxiliary organised students and their parents to clean gardens and grounds of the school and nearby areas as a True Devotion to the Nation project. A praesidium of 10 members which meets at 7 am on Saturday morning has an apostolate which includes contact with young people with drink addiction. 45 prisoners attended a Retreat organised by legionaries; one prisoner joined the local praesidium when he was released. A new Comitium was set up in the Acapulco Regia area. There were 650 legionaries at the 25th Legion Congress in Acapulco.

Mérida Senatus: The Comitium in Cancún, which is in a recently-developed tourist area, is very active. 25,000 homes were visited, among them 4,000 members of the different sects. 10 adults were prepared for Baptism. A young man with AIDS was baptised and received the Sacrament of the Sick. He asked to have his daughter baptised before he died. His family are now Church goers.

Monterrey Regia: Small groups have been organised to study De Montfort’s True Devotion to Mary. Legionaries carried out a census in the parish, which provided valuable information for future Legion work. Legionaries did a type of PPC project outside their parishes in preparation for the centenary of the Legion. They visited homes, commercial businesses, colleges and markets. The Regia is encouraging all praesidia to do an Exploratio Dominicalis project particularly in areas where there is no Legion presence or needs support.

Durango Regia: The Regia is giving more attention to the directly attached praesidia and helping those with problems. Recent reports indicate that the legionaries are preparing for the visit of Pope Francis in February. The Regia has difficulty communicating with distant councils but the correspondence with the Concilium is up to date.

Guadalajara Regia: 4 praesidia, 3 Curiae and 1 Comitium reported during this period. There are two praesidia in formation. Legionaries invited contacts to help with cleaning the Church and grounds. A new Curia was set up recently in an attached Comitium which already has 4 Curiae.

Hermosillo Regia: A Congress entitled “The legionary and the Eucharist” was held recently with a big attendance especially from legionaries in the Provinces.

HONDURAS
Senatus of Tegucigalpa: The Senatus is working well under the guidance of their Spiritual Director Fr. Humberto. A special meeting with the officers of the council attached to the Senatus was held recently to plan for the future. They are encouraging the officers of the directly attached praesidia and the Curiae in the capital to attend and participate more in the Senatus meetings. They are also recruiting new correspondents.

El SALVADOR
San Salvador Senatus: Mons. Luis Morao, Bishop of Chalatenango visited the Senatus meeting in November as part of the Episcopal Conference visitation. As well as the usual works they report Prayer Groups organised in families and in hospital with patients’ families. They pray the Rosary in areas of prostitution where they also make contact with the street girls. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is organised and Confession is encouraged. They participated in a Peregrinacio Pro Christo project in Guatemala resulting in the formation of 3 senior and 2 junior praesidia.

NICARAGUA
Regia of Managua: There are 2 Comitia 4 senior Curiae, 1 junior Curia and 17 praesidia affiliated to the Regia. The Comitium of Leon is setting up a new Curia. The Comitium of Granada set up a new praesidium. A legionary worked for 15 days in a rural isolated area to the north of the country visiting parishes with a view to starting the Legion in that area. The junior Curia affiliated to the Regia of Managua set up two new praesidia.

PANAMA
Panama Regia has 5 Curiae, 3 Comitia and 13 praesidia, attached. An attached Curia held its 2nd Congress recently with good participation. A Curia leads a public Rosary in different sectors for the residents with a good response. Another Curia organises Retreats for families and friends.

IRISH PROVINCIAL REPORT

COMITIA
DromoreComitium: The works of the Warrenpoint praesidium include home visitation with Our Lady’s statue and visitation to schools in Warrenpoint and Newry. A praesidium in Newry undertakes hospital visitation and held a Retreat attended by12 men. A Mass to commemorate Frank Duff was held in Rostrevor.

Navan Comitium: A praesidium with 10 members and 50 auxiliaries does weekly home visitation and 3 members are on the Parish Baptism Team. Another praesidium with 5 members and 45 auxiliaries encouraged family prayer and urged the lapsed to come back to Mass while visiting about 400 homes. A large number of children accompanied by their parents attended an All Saints party at Halloween. Trim Curia: A praesidium of 8 members and 22 auxiliaries gained 3 active members during the year; they visited 7 Protestant homes during Church Unity week. A lady was received into the Church as a result of the praesidium contacting her. Another praesidium undertakes regular home visitation and street contact. Mullingar Curia has 7 senior praesidia and one junior praesidium. One praesidium organises a Sacramental Preparation Course in the parish to help children prepare for their First Holy Communion.

Derry Comitium: This council has four Curiae attached. The Comitium plans to hold a Youth Conference on Saturday 14th May. The work of a reporting praesidium includes home visitation, Pilgrim statue work and recitation of Rosaries in schools. Our Lady of Zion Curia has 6 praesidia and a total of 37 members, 3 of whom are Praetorians. A statue of Our Lady was brought into Primary and Secondary Schools in May.

Raphoe Comitium has 8 Senior, one junior, one intermediate praesidium and one Curia directly attached. A praesidium in Letterkenny with 11 members does home visitation and operates a book barrow during July and August in the Market Square. The intermediate praesidium meets in the Loretto Convent Secondary School during school term. The junior praesidium in Creeslough has 7 members aged 8 to 15 years. Both parents and children are very committed and the parents take the children to and from meetings.

CURIAE
Leitrim Curia: The works of the reporting praesidia in Annaduff and Leitrim Village include home, hospital and nursing home visitation. Extension to Bornacoola resulted in one prospective member; any others who expressed interest were asked to join local praesidia in the short term. Recruiting efforts resulted in 5 new members between 3 praesidia.

Clogher Curia: As there was no report due at the October meeting a discussion on Confession took place. The Curia got a supply of the Joy of Confession leaflets. Enniskillen praesidium has 6 members who visit a number of nursing homes. In two of these they conduct Eucharistic Prayer Services each Sunday. In another nursing home, weekly Rosary and visits are carried out at the request of staff members. A praesidium reported one new member.

Kilmore:Curia: Cavan praesidium has 10 members whose works include visiting people who live alone and reciting the Rosary in 2 local nursing homes. Sr. Teresa Barr, Vice President, was invited to write a short piece on the Legion in Kilmore Diocese for a parish booklet.

Clonmacnoise Curia has 3 praesidia attached, totalling 23 members. Their main works are visiting homes and the local hospital; they also visit the elderly in their homes. Recruiting took place after the 10 a.m. Mass in Ferbane where some very good contacts were made. The Parish Priest, Fr. Tom Cox gave the Legion a great boost during the Mass.

Armagh Curia: Two buses booked by the Curia for the Pilgrimage to Our Lady’s Shrine, Knock, County Mayo were filled to capacity. Dungannon praesidium celebrated its 4000th meeting.

Drogheda Curia: The works of a praesidium with 6 members and 21 auxiliaries consists of house to house visitation and contacts with many different groups in the community. During the summer they had a weekly Rosary in Ozenam House and met visitors from all over the country. In addition to home and nursing home visitation another praesidium with 7 members and 25 auxiliaries visited the Confirmation class in a school. The work of another praesidium is giving support to the community in Stamullen and Julianstown Parish. Members pray the Rosary with some of the children in Mosney (refugee) Centre. The times of Masses are given to residents at the same Centre. Thirteen people gave their names for active membership during a recruiting drive in Armagh. A book barrow was operated at the Scotch Hall Shopping Centre in Drogheda on 3rd October.

Dundalk Curia: Strabannon praesidium has 5 members and 10 auxiliaries. At the end-of-year school Mass each pupil was given a Miraculous Medal. Another reporting praesidium with 5 members left a statue of Our Lady of Fatima in the Primary School and spoke to the children about Our Lady, the Rosary and the Mass.

Immaculata Curia, Belfast has 7 praesidia attached. The reporting praesidia have 4, 8 and 7 members and a total of 192 auxiliaries. The works of 2 of these praesidia include door to door visitation with the Fatima Statue; one praesidium also runs a children’s Rosary group in the local Primary School. The main work of the third praesidium is care of the residents in the Regina Coeli Hosel and they also organise a weekly Rosary for the residents in Divis Tower. This initiative has brought great graces to all involved.

Down Curia: As a result of the Fatima Statue visitation a mother and her children have returned to Sunday Mass, a family brought their child for Baptism and one lady went to Confession and returned to Mass. As an attempt to reach out to the lapsed their Spiritual Director asked the Legionaries to deliver Rosary explanatory cards and Rosary beads to the homes. Street contact was made with the local young footballers who were happy to accept the Rosary beads and the relevant card. Three legionaries are involved in the Catechist programme. A commemorative Mass for Frank Duff was celebrated in November.

North and Mid Antrim Curia: Reporting praesidia have 7, 9, 3, 6 and 5 members and a total of 176 auxiliaries. Works include home, Fatima statue and nursing home visitation. One praesidium organised Mass for the youth of the parish at Examination time and prepared children for First Holy Communion and Confirmation. In another praesidium the headmaster of the local school invited the Legion to meet the First Holy Communion and Confirmation children. Sr. Sheila Conway of Portstewart praesidium was recently presented with the Benemerenti Medal by Bishop Anthony Farquhar.

DUBLIN NORTHSIDE CURIAE
Bethlehem Curia: 15 attended the latest Frank Duff Prayer Group while the Edel Quinn Promoters Meeting had 18 present. A Polish praesidium gained 4 members during the past year; they now have 8 active and 20 auxiliary members. Apostolates to their Polish compatriots include visiting them at home and in hospital, giving them weekly English classes, minding their children during a married couples Retreat, assisting the Polish Scouts on outings and cleaning a local Church. A Public Rosary is recited monthly at the Spire in O’Connell Street, Dublin. Another Public Rosary is recited for the unborn while walking around Parnell Square. A 7-member praesidium recruited one new member; they visited 800 homes last year. 22 families accepted the Pilgrim Statue; some families went on to buy their own statue while many addresses were passed on to the priest for home blessings. Public Rosaries during May in a flat complex had up to 20 children in attendance.

Porta Coeli Curia: A praesidium of 7 members celebrated its 80th anniversary on Sept 7th. Home visitation is done using Pilgrim statues. In appreciation for Legion visits, a young woman invited the legionaries in for coffee on the 2nd anniversary of the death of her husband. A member is on Pioneer duty every month in the Church; some parishioners took the temporary pledge while 8 confirmation students became Pioneers. The First Holy Communion children of a non-Catholic school were given Rosary beads. Another praesidium visit a person with mental health issues and a Lithuanian lady who lives alone; both enjoy the Maria Legionis. A visit to a Settled Traveller site shortly after the Carrickmines tragedy was much appreciated. The St. Vincent de Paul Society was notified of the plight of one family at the site, while the poor health of another resident was brought to the attention of the district nurse. The praesidium helped to promote the Barman’s Retreat by visiting 25 bars.

Veneranda Curia: The new praesidium of An Réalt organised bilingual talks by an author of books in the Irish language; the attendance was 18 in November and 24 in December despite the terrible weather; almost half the attendees were non-legionaries. The talks focussed on the influence of Catholicism on Irish heritage and the need for faith in contemporary Irish society. The praesidium which manages the payments for the Maria Legionis announced that the current circulation is almost 20,200 copies, 3,000 of which are sent worldwide to the Church hierarchy.

Consolata Curia: 9 patricians and 3 legionaries attended a Patrician meeting. A praesidium of 6 full and 2 probationary, including 2 Praetorian members recites a weekly Rosary in the Church for their 52 auxiliary members, many of whom attend; they also bring these members on an annual outing to the Papal Cross. Miraculous Medals were given to all sixth class children in May. Their annual supermarket Mass was well-attended by staff and customers after closing time.

Presentata Curia: Four legionaries promoted the Legion at a Shopping Centre. As well as their many duties in the Morning Star Hostel, the 13 members of the Stella Maris praesidium give language classes to Brazilians and are helping to establish the hostel’s Men’s Shed; they gained 2 new members during the year. Another Morning Star Hostel praesidium also has 13 members and gained 2 during the year. Weekly activities outside the hostel include visiting former residents and reciting a public Rosary. A Regina Coeli Hostel praesidium of 13 full members and 1 probationer holds a weekly Coffee Morning and weekly Catechism Study; their Patrician meeting usually has 4 legionaries and 8 residents in attendance.

Exaltata Curia: In an effort to attract new members, one praesidium delivered the Legion brochure and a cover letter to all homes in the parish. The main work is the Housing Estate Rosary whereby an altar is set up in a different part of an Estate each week and nearby residents invited to attend; attendance has been between 6 and 14, most of them children. They also organise a monthly parish evening comprising the Rosary, Mass and Blessed Sacrament Adoration. A praesidium with 8 members visits patients in St. Mary’s Hospital. During weekly home visitation, a Catholic Romanian lady became emotional; she had asked for a sign that morning during prayer and took the Legionaries visit as that sign. A new work was the visitation of a Primary School where a DVD on Fatima was shown to the three First Holy Communion classes; the initiative was considered a great success.


ASIA
LEBANON
The Legion has a presence in 21 Parishes. In Beirut there are 6 senior praesidia. Metn South has 7 senior, 5 intermediate and 3 junior praesidia. Metn North has 4 senior and 4 junior praesidia and in Kesenwan there are 6 senior and 3 junior praesidia. They work in shelters serving food, distribute Bibles and prayer leaflets and also help children to prepare for First Communion.

HOLY LAND
Due to troubles in Jerusalem and the West Bank a Conference for Spiritual Directors and officers had to be postponed. Praesidia in Jerusalem, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Jerico reported. Works include visiting the sick, bringing the Madonna to homes, teaching catechism to children and adults at Sunday school. The extension committee is very active.

ARMENIA
Our Lady of Mercy praesidium Gyumri founded one year ago has 8 members. Legionaries are very happy that the newly built Cathedral has opened. They hold spiritual formation and catechism classes for newcomers and encouraging lapsed to return to the faith. With the Missionaries of Charity they visit a village 60 kilometres from Gyumri to teach catechism to children in need. The president of the praesidium has been ordained a Deacon and will become a Spiritual Director.

THAILAND
Rae Comitium has 13 senior Curiae and 1 junior Curia. Catechism is taught to adults and students. In Bangkok college legionaries share the Good News with fellow students and friends. Another praesidium is teaching Thai to an order of Spanish nuns.

MYANMAR (Burma)
They printed the Frank Duff prayer leaflet in Burmese and need to reprint their Handbook.

PAKISTAN
Three praesidia reported in this period. One gave its 33rd annual report having 21 active and 40 auxiliaries along with 9 members in a junior praesidium. They are bridging the gap between the Urdu and English-speaking communities. A second praesidium gave its 4th annual report with 24 active and 5 auxiliary members. A third praesidium gave its 3rd annual report with 16 active members and 14 auxiliaries. Homes, hospital and institutions are visited, catechism is taught, and various devotions are conducted.

INDIA
Mumbai Senatus has produced its own Confession leaflet and held an Edel Quinn day. Family Days organised by legionaries have proved very successful, 117 attending one of these. Audits of all councils have been submitted.

Karnataka Senatus is working very well with every aspect of Legion apostolate undertaken. Prisoners and orphans are visited and encouraged in the faith. 280 undertook a walking Pilgrimage to Our Lady’s Church at which the Parish Priest gave an inspiring address on Legion principles and the Legion’s contribution to the Universal Church.

Visakhapatnam Comitium: Three new praesidia were set up with 11, 39 and 21 members. Their Spiritual Director is very supportive.
Port Blair Comitium: Visits are made to attached praesidia and Curiae, in some cases involving long bus journeys and travel by boat. Night Vigils are attended. A number of praesidia were reopened and weaker praesidia helped. People of all beliefs are met and encouraged in the faith.

Calcutta Comitium: Efforts are being made to build up the Legion in the 13 States it cares for. Many legionaries have died after much good service in the Legion, and illness of members has hampered visitation and extension. The Comitium keeps in touch with legionaries in Bangladesh.

Thoothukudi Comitium: This council consists of 9 Curiae and 6 praesidia. Much visitation of the sick and the lapsed is undertaken. Contact is made with Hindus, and people of other beliefs. Extension is undertaken.

VIETNAM
One Regia reports good training of members. The extension of the Legion is hampered in some areas by not having knowledge of the languages of the ethnic tribes. One Comitium cares for the Legion in 7 suffragen Dioceses, the Legion being in 98 of the 142 parishes. A praesidium giving its report has 13 active members, 6 Praetorians and 16 auxiliaries. They live in an area of small commerce, and even though the members are elderly they continue to work to make a living. Saigon Comitium 3 has 9 senior Curiae, 1 junior Curia, 1,821 seniors of which 447 are Praetorians, 352 junior members and 4284 auxiliaries. All reports thank the ecclesiastical authorities for the great support given to the Legion. They say there is a lot of scope for extension and a need for younger members to complement the older ones. Most of the young people move to cities to work. Much poverty is encountered in the rural areas.


EUROPE

BELGIUM
Brussels Senatus: In Beaurange a statue of Our Lady of Beauraing was brought on a journey by car, train and boat on full public view. A praesidium of 13 members has 5 Praetorians. A day of evangelisation was carried out at the Pukkelpop Festival and many useful contacts were made.
Antwerp Regia: Beringen Curia has 5 praesidia with 23 members.

DENMARK
Legionaries in a praesidium with 8 members visit the sick and lead the Rosary in Church before daily Mass.

FRANCE
Valence Regia: The junior praesidium in St. Bonnet de Galaure has restarted with 8 members; 2 senior legionaries spoke to students during a school Retreat.

The Regia has responded very positively to the Concilium’s proposal for a Senatus in Paris; Paris Regia unanimously agreed to this proposal and Aire et Dax also gave their consent The auxiliary Bishop, Monsignor de Moulins celebrated the Mass for Frank Duff. One praesidium caters for legionaries whose College praesidium closes during July and August. 7 new praesidia were started in 2015, including 1 in Versailles, 1 in Britany, 1 in Paris and 1 each among the Congolese and Filipino communities. The biography of Frank Duff by Finola Kennedy and the DVD on his life are being translated into French.

ENGLAND
Birmingham Senatus held a training weekend for legionaries which included a Patrician meeting, crowd contact and Night Fever at which many young people were invited to come and light a candle in Church; the results were amazing and many aged in their 20’s came. One girl who had an abortion accepted a Miraculous Medal and a prayer leaflet. Reports show 2 returns to the Sacraments and one lapsed Catholic who asked to be taken to Mass. In West Birmingham Curia area contact work a distance from an abortion clinic saved 8 babies. Bristol Curia had a training day with very positive feedback. A new junior praesidium has been established and a day Retreat was held for the junior legionaries. Northampton Comitium and Leicester Curia (in the caretakership of the Senatus) reported a new praesidium in Northampton.

Liverpool Senatus: Rev. Fr. Unsworth is the new Spiritual Director of the Senatus. Fr. Ferns has retired. A former legionary, Fr. Kevin Deakin, was recently ordained to the priesthood. Wirral has junior legionaries, and operates a Legion stall at Birkenhead Market. The new praesidium in Leeds Curia is working well; contact work with refugees was mentioned by Middlesbrough Comitium, St. Helen’s Curia reported the death of Sr. Barbara Palmer, the Curia Secretary. RIP. One praesidium gave an account of praying at a prison and great results following a Night Fever initiative. Very good contacts were made at the book barrows in Rochdale and Heywood Town Centres. In Warrington legionaries lead a Eucharistic Service in a nursing home.

Southwark Comitium: The area covers 4 Dioceses, and this includes the Isles of Wight and Guernsey. The Isle of Wight praesidium has been visited by the Comitium representatives. Guernsey has 8 members and one probationer; a parish census is being carried out and the Legion’s three candidates for Beatification are well promoted. In Cornwall details of Mass times are distributed in camp sites, and one man met on home visitation received the Sacrament of the Sick before he died. A Korean praesidium attached to the Andong Regia in Korea has proposed a joint visitation and this is being tried with one local praesidium.

Brentwood Comitium: Extension and recruiting are on-going with good results. During holiday time a junior praesidium works with the seniors on home visitation. Miraculous Medals are given to First Holy Communicants.

Central London Curia: In the 3 month period from September to December five new members were recruited. Two legionaries are catechists and prepare children for the Sacraments; prison visitation is carried out by 2 praesidia; the Holy Eucharist is brought to people who are house-bound; one praesidium helps to serve tea and sandwiches to the homeless (not funded by the Legion). Functions were held for auxiliary members. The praesidium in Soho has 5 full members and 4 probationers. Works includes visitation in the red light district.

NORWAY
Tonsberg praesidium has 10 active member and 2 probationers, supported by 18 auxiliary members. They use the phone a lot for contact with auxiliaries, are very involved in parish activities, and celebrated the Legion’s anniversary on 8th September. Drammen praesidium has 6 members and 25 auxiliaries. House Rosaries and Bible studies featured in the report. During Advent Norwegian and Filipino families were visited.

SCOTLAND
Glasgow Senatus: The council held an Officers’ Conference and a Peregrinatio Pro Christo Conference and are preparing for their next PPC venture to Finland. Ayrshire Curia report 3 praesidia busily engaged with the Rosary in 5 schools and in visiting nursing homes and sheltered accommodation. Our Lady of the Wayside praesidium has an international flavour with legionaries from as far away as Brazil. Legionaries attended the funeral of a Club patron, taught another to make the Sign of the Cross. One man offers his painful suffering to honour the crucified Christ. Annunciata Curia report good contacts at the lunchtime club, the baptism of five children in one family, and a warm welcome to the African community. A legionary in Edinburgh Curia retired to a nursing home and brought the praesidium with her to the venue.

SWEDEN (in the caretakership of Liverpool Senatus)
A new praesidium was established in Gavel. Another praesidium reports great response to the Pilgrim Statue. Work is progressing well since the printing of the Swedish Handbook.

NETHERLANDS
Amsterdam Regia is making progress on setting up a website The praesidium in Duivendrecht, established by Sr. Sally Chan, now has 9 members and 4 officers. Legionaries from Rotterdam visited the Portuguese praesidium which they set up 10 years ago in Amiens.

SWITZERLAND
Zurich Comitium has12 praesidia attached. The report mentions an Exploratio Dominicalis project in Estfeld.

SIBERIA
One praesidium is on the parish website and has taken part in extension work in Abakan.

GERMANY
Frankfurt Senatus and 2 Regia held a joint planning meeting and the Senatus, which celebrates its Golden Jubilee this January printed a new recruiting leaflet and one on Confession. Of the 10 praesidia attached, 4 are in Frankfurt. The Korean Curia in Essen started a new praesidium in Istanbul. The programme of works in Freiburg Comitum includes a camping apostolate, Patricians, visiting schools and book barrow apostolate. In Cologne Regia 8 legionaries in the Leverkusen praesidium took their promise. Munich Regia established a new praesidium in Pechbrunn.

GIBRALTAR
The Gibraltar Curia (in the care of Scotland) has 5 praesidia. Legionaries visit St. Bernard’s Hospital and a psychiatric unit. The Three Kings Cavalcade on the eve of the Epiphany goes through the main street to the Cathedral. They held an ecumenical outdoor Stations of the Cross on Good Friday with a great attendance. School children are prepared for Holy Communian and legionaries help with the children’s Liturgy.

WALES
Cardiff Comitium: Legionaries in Gwent responded swiftly to the request to bring the Rosary to school children. Wrexham Curia (in the care of Liverpool) is busy following up contacts made by the Peregrinatio Pro Christo team. Swansea Curia (under the caretakership of Birmingham Senatus), report 3 Exploratio Dominicalis projects undertaken. Extension here is on-going.
